The need for this program was generated through a request of the Northern Inyo Hospital Administration and was ratified by the Library and Education Committee of the Medical Staff.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

This class will provide didactic information to physicians and other healthcare professionals on disease implications of macro- and micronutrients.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

1.     Identify how Fructose and Hydrogentated Fats contribute to Disease

2.     Contrast the Metabolic Effects of Omega-3 and Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids

3.     Identify 3 Metabolic Pathways which require Vitamin B12
